Garden Tripod
We are growing sweet peas in a garden. Sweet peas like to have a structure to climb. For these tripods I used 3 lead x 4 bight turks heads tied with 1/4 inch manila rope. To tie the knots I put all three sticks side-by-side, tied the knot, set the sticks into there position in the tripod and then worked the slack out of the knot. I also added pieces of unraveled rope to the tripod to give the pea plants something additional to climb on (not shown).

Turks Head Carabiner
This is a simple 2 bight by 9 part turks head on the shank of a light duty (non-climbing) carabiner. I used tan nylon cord to tie this. This is a simple project and is right of of the Ashley Book of Knots (ABOK). Why just knot the key chain when you can knot the carabiner also?

Floating Key Chain
This is a floating key chain I came up with- I took a cork from a wine bottle, poked a hole in it and ran a lanyard line through. I then tied a 6 lead by 5 bight turks head in black around the cork. I then tied a knife lanyard knot and then a simple overhand knot tied very tight to make the key ring attachment. I'll have to try the same kind of key chain wrapping the cork completely including the ends. I do like having the exposed cork as I think it is interesting. This was not an easy piece of work to photograph- I ended up using a phone picture rather than a camera picture. I'm sure if I fiddled with the camera for a couple hours I could have figured it out, but the phone picture turned out okay (could be better).
